The road to Kappa Land

Many of our greek organizations are founding on a certain principle, idea, or quote that governs the way the organization should be ran. In my fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi was founding on the basis of Achievement in every field of human endeavor. The idea of being founding on the principles of achievement and success are something any man can believe in and hold true to. Everybody wants to be successful in life and live well off without too much struggling in life. The idea of achievement is something that anybody can accomplish yet is not necessarily measured by someone's status or monetary amount.

When I think of achievement in every field of human endeavor, I just think about working hard and trying your best at everything you do. Its more of an encouraging phrase to live by. Never half ass anything, but instead give it your all no matter what it is that you are doing. I know there are times when I do not feel like doing something, and I just refer to our motto and suck it up and do whatever task it is to the best of my abilities.

I am not the only one who feels this way. My chapter as a whole also strives to live up to this words. We often hold study tables as a chapter to help each other who have taken to the same classes or provide tutoring for one another. Also we are the reigning stroll competition champions and step champions. Everything we do turns to gold...atleast last year it did. We still have to perform this year to maintain our status on top...as King of the Yard...lol

However there are times when members don't hold true to our standards. Quarters of underperformance academically, legal troubles, etc We all make poor decisions at times; we just try not to advocate or make a habit of these decisions. We continue to stay on each other's case to make sure everybody performs to their highest capable level. This way our chapter performs and runs to the highest level putting on successful events and community service.

No phrase better describes our fraternity than Acheivement in every field of human endeavor.
